The short version
HealthLit is a local-first symptom diary. In the current App Store release, HealthLit does not require or offer an account, and the developer does not collect your health information. Your symptom entries, profile, medications, wellness check-ins, symptom start dates, report edits, and settings are stored on your device.
HealthLit does not sell personal information, show advertising, use tracking technology, or include analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.

Information you enter
HealthLit can store information that you choose to enter, including:
- Symptom entries, such as symptom type, severity, time, duration, descriptive words, body areas, factors you mark as possible triggers or reliefs, linked medications, and notes.
- Optional profile information, such as a display name, date of birth, condition, primary doctor, and emergency contact.
- Medication names, doses, and schedule notes.
- Wellness check-ins and any note you choose to add.
- Symptom start dates and onset notes.
- Text you write when editing a report section.
- App settings, including appearance preferences, reminder settings, and acknowledgement of the medical disclaimer.
HealthLit does not read Apple Health data, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, precise location, advertising identifiers, or data from other apps.
Where your data is stored
In the current App Store release, HealthLit stores app data on your device using local app storage. The developer does not receive or have access to this data through HealthLit.
Core features—including logging, history, charts, reports, and PDF generation—are designed to work without an account or cloud service.
If a future version introduces optional cloud backup or another service that transmits HealthLit data off your device, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before that version is released.
Reports and PDF export
Reports are generated on your device from the entries you recorded. HealthLit does not send your health information to an artificial-intelligence service, language model, or external server to generate a report.
When you choose to print, save, or share a report, iOS hands the resulting file to the destination you select. Data you intentionally share with another app, service, person, printer, or clinician is then subject to that recipient's privacy practices.
Reminders
HealthLit reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. Reminder text is intentionally generic and does not include symptom or medication details. HealthLit does not use a remote push-notification service to deliver these reminders.
Analytics, tracking, and advertising
The current release does not include third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting SDKs. HealthLit does not create advertising profiles or sell personal information.
Deleting your data
You can edit or delete individual entries from within the app. You can also clear HealthLit data from the device using the app's data controls. Deleting the app from the device also removes data stored in the app's local container, subject to normal iOS backup and restore behavior controlled by Apple and your device settings.
Because the current App Store release does not create HealthLit accounts or upload your HealthLit records to a developer-controlled cloud service, there is no separate HealthLit cloud account to delete.
Your choices and rights
You control what information you enter into HealthLit and what you choose to export or share. Depending on where you live, privacy law may provide additional rights. For questions about the current release, contact healthlithub@gmail.com.
Children
HealthLit is not directed at children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the current local-only release.
Not medical advice
HealthLit is a symptom diary, not a medical device. It records what you enter and summarizes your own data back to you. It does not diagnose conditions, establish causes, predict outcomes, or recommend treatment. Always speak with a qualified clinician about medical concerns and do not delay seeking care because of information shown in the app.
Changes
If HealthLit changes how it handles data, this policy will be updated before the applicable release and the “Last updated” date above will change.
